Dawn Stillfield is a camper in Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp. She is a nine year old Empath who specializes in Clairvoyance. Her usual outfit consists of pajamas and occasionally a night cap.

She starts off (at least outwardly) as a really laid back and easy going person, who never takes anything too seriously, because she believes everything around her is a dream, and therefore has no consequences. On the inside, she's a desperately homesick person who wants nothing more than to "wake up" and see her "real" family again.

However, after spending time around the other campers (especially Crystal and Clem), she realizes that she was always in the real world, and becomes the complete opposite, turning extremely protective of her friends.

Story

Dawn's psychic powers were originally awakened due to a moderate childhood brain injury. She ended up developing a particular affinity for Clairvoyance and Telepathy, allowing her to see and hear through the minds of others. Unfortunately, due to the sudden manifestation of her powers, combined with the nature of their appearance, Dawn became convinced that she had actually been put into a coma by the accident, and that the world around her where she has "super powers" and can freely change "character perspectives" is nothing more than a dream.

At the start of her time at camp, Dawn is a rather absent-minded person, usually just going with the flow, as she does not believe anything that happens around her in her "dream" has any real consequences. However, she often hangs around the GPC's, and can be heard mumbling to herself about how she feels trapped by the "fake" world, and desperately hopes that the Brain Tumbler can act as a sort of "waking point" to bring her out of her coma. It is hinted at through other dialog that her parents sent her to the camp in hopes that the trained psychics would be able to help her sort out this confusion.

As time goes on around the other campers, Dawn ends up taking particular notice of Crystal and Clem, whose outward cheer does nothing to hide their crippling depression from Dawn's psychic empathy. Feeling such utter despair and pain upsets her, and after a particularly tense conversation with them, she runs off to re-evaluate her understanding of the world. After a while, she is seen with Crystal and Clem again, having become extremely protective of the two.

From this time on, Dawn becomes somewhat of a caretaker figure among the campers, trying to keep conflict to a minimum, and doing everything in her power to help Crystal and Clem feel better.

Psychic Abilities

  • Psychic Empathy: She has the ability to strongly feel the emotions of others.
  • Clairvoyance: She often uses this to jump from one person's perspective to another due to her particular delusion.
  • Telepathy: Like with her Clairvoyance, she has a tendency to unconsciously listen in on other people's thoughts.
  • Levitation: She has also taken quite well to levitation, and enjoys bouncing around on her levitation ball.
